About Us
Coach Accreditation
Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Its purpose is to provide relevant support to British coaches and their businesses so they can deliver great on-court experiences and grow their programmes.
Being a member of Coach Accreditation provides you with a stamp of approval that is recognised by the industry and all JWT coaches are LTA Accredited. To meet this requirement they must have a valid DBS check, First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding and Welfare trained.
Meet the Team

James Woodwards
Head Coach
James is an LTA Level 3 Tennis Coach, working towards Level 4.
With a BA (Hons) in Leisure and Sports Management, James has been coaching for almost 20 years and first started playing at the age of five. He soon progressed to playing competitively for Buckinghamshire, gaining selection for 4 consecutive U18 County Cup events.
James had an impressive record as a player, reaching the last 32 in the British Junior Nationals at U14 level. He also achieved a 3-year unbeaten record in the University of Brighton’s Men’s Tennis Team in B.U.S.A.
He set up JWT Coaching in 2010 whilst at Bicester Tennis Club, and has been able to attract an array of talented, experienced and enthusiastic coaching staff, whilst also fostering and mentoring some of the younger players to pursue their own coaching accreditations.
James enjoys coaching players of all abilities and enjoys discovering and developing players to their full potential, allowing them to compete and gain success in competition. This success is only achievable with equal commitment from both player and coach, working collectively to enhance the technical, tactical and physical elements of your game in an enjoyable and motivating way.
James continues his championing of new talent and is currently Bucks Boys Under 9s County Captain, working alongside some of the best coaches in Buckinghamshire.

Caroline Care
Coach
Caroline is an LTA Level 4 coach with over 34 years of experience
Caroline brings a wealth of knowledge from her time at both large and small tennis clubs as well as many years working within the commercial sector.
Caroline has an array of successes as a player, having received County Colours for Buckinghamshire at junior and senior levels, winning the Bucks U18 singles and playing in the ‘National Grass Courts’ at junior level. She continued this success as a coach, and Captained the Bucks U12 Girls team for 5 years.
From tiny tots through to ‘rusty racquets’, Caroline continues to develop herself to ensure the content is fresh, innovative and most of all fun! These skills are vital for keeping the attention and focus of all ages whilst conducting our JWT led Tennis Holiday Camps.
Caroline enjoys coaching a wide range of ages and abilities with a passion in working with both children and adults with learning difficulties. Recognising the numerous benefits that sport and exercise can have on a person’s mental health as well as physical wellbeing, Caroline works with Sport in Mind alongside Bright Ideas for Tennis. Utilising this expertise, Caroline has developed a coaching program tailored to focusing on the mindfulness of mental health as well as the physical benefits of exercise through tennis.

Neil Maple
Coach
Neil is an LTA Level 3 Tennis Coach, bringing great experience to the team
Neil has been coaching with us since 2025. He holds an LTA Club Coach Accreditation Level 3. A great all round sportsman, he used to play semi-professional football and is also a qualified personal trainer! From his previous roles as a coach, he has seen many juniors aged from 5 progressing onto competiting in Adult and University leagues. He runs junior and adult group coaching and also available for individual lessons.
For those who think club tennis isn’t enough of a workout, try his ‘Cardio Tennis’ work rate in a lesson.

Dilan Mistry
Coach
Dilan is an LTA Level 2 Tennis Coach, passing on his experience gained as a player with JWT
Dilan, a Level 2 Tennis Coach at Aylesbury Tennis Club. I currently teach kids and adults within a group or private session environment.
He started playing tennis at the age of 10 at Aylesbury Tennis Club (ATC), working his way up to playing in the Men’s 1st team, whilst still playing junior tennis. He has competed in numerous external grade 3 and 4 tournaments, as well as winning the ATC Men’s Doubles Club Championships twice. He is the captain for the Mens 1st Team at ATC and oversee’s all other Men’s teams and match practice evenings.
His goal is to help everyone reach their highest potential, through a mix of high energy, thought-provoking lessons.
His strengths as a tennis coach focus on encouraging continuous growth, building rapport and adapting to peoples coaching needs.

Ethan Jackson
Coach
Ethan is an LTA Level 1 coach working towards his Level 2
Ethan first started playing at the age of 5 and his natural ability quickly shone through. By 15, he was already on the performance squad at Halton Tennis Centre. He first began his coaching at 16 at Aylesbury Tennis Club whilst taking his training with Head Coach James. He has developed into a full time coach at Aylesbury, working with with a variety of players from children to experienced adults. Ethan is able to utilise his playing experience and continues to develop whilst coaching here at ATC. Ethan’s infectious work ethic and enthusiasm as a coach is recognised in all the sessions he delivers. He enjoys coaching all abilities and relishes introducing new players to the sport be they tiny tots or adults who are complete novices. His mission is to introduce tennis to as many people as possible with engaging and fun sessions.

Our Mission

JWT coaching was established in 2010 whilst at Bicester Tennis Club before moving on to Aylesbury in January 2013 and has developed the coaching programme by increasing junior provision from 30 to over 180 Junior Members. There are increased opportunities for adult coaching and improved member to coach links through club nights and social events. JWT have also created partnerships with Bledlow Ridge, Horsenden, Cuddington and Quainton Tennis clubs, with coaching provisions for juniors and adults at each club.
Director and Head Coach James has been appointed Buckinghamshire Boys u9 County Captain, along with another of the JWT coaching team as his assistant coach. Previously, he also held the position of u12 Boys County Assistant Captain for 4 years.
We aim to make every child and adult we coach feel just as valued as the next. Our skilled coaching team create a culture of inclusiveness and positivity through physical activity, enhancing mental health.
